SSC CPO Eligibility
In Government exams, there are some common eligibility criteria such as Education Qualification and nationality. A candidate must know all the eligibility before starting the preparation of the exam. Let’s have a brief discussion about CPO eligibility.
Education Qualification
Educational Qualification for all posts is a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent.
SSC CPO Age Limit
The minimum age for CPO is 20 year and the maximum age is 25 year. Candidates born not before 02-01-1996 and not later than 01-01-2001. But, there is some age relaxation for those categories…
- SC and ST candidate has 5 years relaxation
- OBC candidate has 3 years relaxation
- UR/GEN category domiciled during 1/1/1980 to 31/2/1989 from J&K has 5 years relaxation
- OBC category domiciled during 1/1/1980 to 31/2/1989 from J&K has 8 years relaxation
Nationality
For CPO Exam, the candidate must be an Indian citizen. The other countries citizen may also apply for the CDS Exam If, they have an eligibility certificate issued by the Indian Government. The eligible countries list is given below…
- Bhutan
- Nepal
- A permanently set Tibetan refugee who came to India before July 1, 1962, in India.
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.

SSC CPO Physical Eligibility
SSC CPO has one another eligibility criteria which a candidate must know, these are Physical Endurance Test and Physical Standard Test requirement for SSC CPO. Friends, before filling the online form of SSC CPO you must check your physical stander to pass Physical Standard Test. Because none can achieve physical stander overnight. Physical Standard Test criteria are given in this index.

SSC CPO Exam Pattern
SSC conducts CPO exam consists of three stages. It is a knockout exam series. If a candidate fails any step of the exam then, He will be out from CPO exam. CPO exam undergoes those heads.

- Paper-II (English Language)

SSC CPO written exam pattern
It is an online exam. The multiple-choice questions are given in the exam. There is 1/4 negative marking for the wrong answer. However, if you leave the question unanswered then, There will be no negative marking. Exam detail is given in the index. This index helps you to understand the SSC CPO written exam.

CPO Physical Standard or Endurance Test
After qualifying the written exam, A qualified candidate has to face Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET). In this stage, the candidate will be checked his/her physical endurance and the physical standard, that has been set for any candidate at the time of notification released.
We have already given you the details of Physical Standard Test (PST) in this blog. Now we are going to give you the details of Physical Endurance Test (PET).
Physical Endurance Test (PET) For Male Candidates
- 100-meter race in 16 seconds
- 6 Km Race in 6.5 minutes
- Long Jump: 3.65 meters in 5 chances
- High Jump: 1.2 meters in 3 chances
- Short put 16 LBS: 4.5 meters in 3 chances
Physical Endurance Test (PET) For Female Candidates
- 100-meter race in 18 second
- 800-meter race in 4 minutes
- Long Jump: 2.7 meters or 9 feet in 3 chances
- High Jump: 0.9 meters or 3 feet in 3 chances
Medical Test
There is a medical test for all qualified candidates. Eligibility Criteria for the Medical Test is mentioned below:
- Minimum Near Vision: N6 (better eye) and N9 (worse eye)
- Minimum Distant Vision: 6/6 (better eye) and 6/9 (worse eye)
- Must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes
- Eye standards should be without visual correction of any kind even by glasses.
English Language
After qualifying physical test, SSC conducts a proficiency test of English language. 200 multiple choice questions are given in the exam. Each question holds 1 marks. There is 1/4 negative marking for the wrong answer. However, if you leave the question unanswered then, There will be no negative marking. The exam details are given below in the index.
